We will look at the kinds of activities, weakness and benefits of being one of both characteristics.
An individualist is a characteristic that always prioritizes personality and self-freedom. They will always maximize themselves to be the best, of course in its own ways. Individualists seem to be difficult to mingle with others because what they do is usually done by themselves. The weakness of being an individualist is they can cause human solidarity relations to disappear because there’s no more characteristic of helping each other and mutual respect. Indeed, individualism isn't always meant bad but it’s more dominant about its ugliness. The benefits of being an individualist are we can learn independently in doing anything.
A collectivist is a characteristic that always prioritizes a group, a life where each individual is bound by a few groups, but the attachment to the group is stronger and longer. Collectivist is very concerned about the events experienced by their groups. The weakness of being collectivist is the failure and group defeat is a shared responsibility. The benefits of being a collectivist are we can be more responsible individuals in social life.
In conclusion, here you have these differences between individualist and collectivist. All of this is a perception of ourselves and others. How to understand the situation of others, so that there is no misunderstanding between fellow humans.
